In 2019, the Brazilian government regulated Repetro-Industrialization with the publication of Normative Ruling No. 1,901 in the Federal Official Gazette (DOU). The regime known as “Repetro-Industrialização” is applied to the industrialization of goods destined for the exploration, development and production of oil, natural gas, and other hydrocarbon gas liquids.

The industrialization regime instituted by the Brazilian Internal Revenue Service will enable companies to start purchasing imported inputs or inputs in the domestic market with suspension of taxes. It is an industrialization regime, not a supply regime.
